In March, we will explore unusual and extraordinary wines. Examples include wine aged underwater, wines from Northern Europe, a wine made from 600 grape varieties, or winemakers who play music to their vines, and more.

Concept

To illustrate this concept, we imagined a world where everything is upside down and absurd, inspired by the whimsical universe of Mr. Nonsense that I sometimes read with my daughter. This is a playground for your creativity! Some initial ideas:

• Wine being poured backward, from the glass into the bottle.
• Someone tasting wine with their ear or listening to wine instead of smelling it.
• Vines growing upside down.
• A vineyard where bottles grow directly on the vines.
• A sommelier using a bottle of wine as perfume.
• Winemakers digging into the soil with a giant corkscrew.
